Our Founding Purpose】
Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where students can directly apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired through their academic studies to real-world careers.
As a student myself, I struggled with how to utilize what I was learning in society, and through that experience, I came to realize that many students face the same challenge.
This company was founded to change the current reality in which academic learning often fails to connect meaningfully with the professional world.

Our Philosophy
At Crave Stone, we provide a space where students—whose primary focus is academics—can come together to share ideas, deepen their research, and turn the results of their efforts into real-world work.
We aim to create a self-sustaining cycle in which students expand their learning, continue their research, and connect their results to new professional opportunities.

Our company name, Crave Stone, combines “Crave”—a strong desire to learn—with “Stone”, representing raw potential.
It reflects our hope that young people with a thirst for knowledge will gather here as unpolished gems, learn and cultivate their skills, and ultimately shine. This vision lies at the very heart of our mission.

Looking Ahead
As the founder and a current university student myself, I believe it is vital to approach today’s challenges from a student’s real-time perspective.
We have built a system that provides full support—from learning and research to development—so that students can hone their skills and bring products to life, ultimately creating new forms of work.

While upholding our ideals, we have also established a sustainable business structure.
We aim to directly support students’ sincere desire to turn their learning into careers, and to provide an environment where they can grow into next-generation leaders who contribute to society.

To expand this mission even further, we are working to build an inclusive, multilingual environment that embraces diversity and supports adaptation to an increasingly global society.

At Crave Stone, we offer online instruction in programming, science, mathematics, and other STEM-related subjects, all grounded in STEM education.

In addition to supporting student growth, we develop teaching materials, create assessments, and provide programs designed to help learners earn certifications.

What is STEM Education?

STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning that integrates the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—from which the acronym STEM is derived.

    STEAM is an educational approach that adds the elements of Arts and Liberal Studies to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

  • STREAM Education
    STREAM integrates Reading or Robotics into the STEAM framework. Students engage in cross-disciplinary learning through processes such as designing, building, and programming robots to test their ideas.
    This approach enhances creativity and imagination through hands-on experiences.
  • eSTEM Education
    eSTEM incorporates concepts of environmental education into STEM.
    The term “environment” here includes not only the natural world, but also industrial, social, everyday, and IT environments.
    Rather than focusing solely on technological advancement, eSTEM emphasizes awareness of environmental issues and social challenges, empowering learners to help shape a more sustainable future.
  • GEMS (Girls into Engineering, Math & Science)
    GEMS is a program designed to support and encourage female participation in STEM fields.
    Even on a global scale, examples of women thriving in STEM careers remain limited. GEMS aims to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment by creating more opportunities for girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

◎The Case of Singapore

Singapore, a city-state with a population of over 5 million living within an area roughly the size of Tokyo’s 23 wards, lacks natural resources. Recognizing that the cultivation of human capital is essential for sustainable national development, the country has made education a top priority in its policy agenda.

This commitment is clearly reflected in its national budget. In fiscal year 2022, approximately 13% of the total budget was allocated to education—the second-largest expenditure after defense.

In the field of STEM education, Singapore is home to STEM Inc., an organization made up of experts with advanced degrees (Master’s and PhDs) in STEM disciplines. This group works in close collaboration with schools to offer hands-on, real-world learning experiences that go beyond textbook instruction.
